Recent observations show warmer-than-average highs, including 18°C implied for May 13, driven by a persistent high-pressure ridge ushering mild Atlantic air, boosting confidence in above-climatological outcomes (historical mid-May average ~15.5°C). Ensemble model spreads from ECMWF and GFS indicate 15–19°C range due to uncertainties in cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing; new 12-hourly updates tomorrow could refine odds as resolution nears.
