Over the past 48 hours, showers and light snow in the nearby foothills cooled overnight lows to the upper 30s, but building high pressure aloft and light northerly winds favor a mild rebound above climatological May 1 norms of around 65°F. Model runs from NOAA's Global Forecast System and European Centre show tight agreement on this trajectory, though any persistent cloud cover could trim peaks toward the mid-50s; hourly observations from Denver International Airport will refine outcomes this afternoon.
