This positioning follows the end of an unusually warm May, when high pressure and southerly flows drove temperatures well above normal, allowing a return to more typical early-summer conditions. Ensemble guidance shows limited spread around these values, with modest uncertainty tied to exact cloud cover and any weak frontal activity. Traders therefore assign the highest implied probabilities to 18°C and 19°C outcomes, reflecting the narrow range most consistent with official guidance and historical June maxima for the region.
