This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 5 Jun '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official forecasts from the Hong Kong Observatory indicate that subsiding air associated with a broad high-pressure system will drive extremely hot conditions across the territory on June 5, with maximum temperatures expected in the 33–35 °C range under partly cloudy skies and light winds. This aligns with the early-June climatological tendency for persistent heat over southern China before the southwest monsoon fully establishes unsettled weather later in the month. Model guidance and recent observations show limited cooling from showers, keeping the daily high near or slightly above the long-term June average of about 31 °C. Traders have priced 34 °C as the modal outcome, reflecting both the official outlook and historical precedent for early-summer peaks, while assigning lower probability to extremes above 36 °C given current steering patterns and moisture profiles.
