Partial results from Peru's April 12-13 first-round presidential election, with 97% of ballots tallied as of April 30, place Keiko Fujimori firmly first at 17.11%, while Roberto Sánchez holds a slim second at 12.04% ahead of Rafael López Aliaga (11.87%) and Jorge Nieto (11.00%), fueling trader consensus on "Other" at 94.7% since Fujimori-Sánchez and similar unlisted pairings lead. Logistical chaos extended voting a day, sparking fraud allegations and legal challenges from López Aliaga, who faces incitement charges; ONPE's director resigned amid probes. Final certification awaits mid-May amid disputed actas, with López Aliaga & Fujimori (4.2%) viable if remaining rural or overseas tallies boost him past Sánchez for the June 7 runoff.
