Thailand's Constitutional Court accepted a 6-3 petition on March 18 challenging barcodes and QR codes on February 8 general election ballots for potentially violating vote secrecy, yet traders price "No" invalidation at 90.5% due to the court's measured procedural steps amid a functioning new government. Reelected Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's Bhumjaithai Party secured parliamentary confirmation on March 19, with cabinet sworn in, signaling institutional stability. Recent April 30 orders for witness statements and expert opinions within 15 days—following the Election Commission's April 17 defense and planned 11 witnesses—indicate rigorous review without urgency, aligning with historical patterns where technical ballot issues rarely trigger full annulment absent proven widespread irregularities. Resolution awaits by June 30.
