Recent polls from early April, including Gemius and SKDS, place populist Latvia First (LPV) atop vote intentions at 14-15%, narrowly ahead of Progressives (PRO) and incumbents New Unity (JV) at 9-11%, in a fragmented field where no party exceeds 15% amid Latvia's proportional representation system with a 5% threshold. Trader consensus prices LPV slightly ahead at 33% implied probability for most Saeima seats due to its 2025 municipal election momentum and appeal to economic discontent, while JV holds close at 32% on governing experience under PM Evika Siliņa and potential vote consolidation. The tight race persists from multi-party volatility, Russian-speaking minority dynamics, and coalition uncertainties, with debates and campaign shifts ahead of the October 3 deadline potentially tipping balances.
