This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 1 May '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve to "Yes" until data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong Observatory's latest 9-day forecast, issued April 30, projects a temperature range of 22–25°C for May 1 amid mainly cloudy conditions, moderate east-northeasterly winds, and 70–90% relative humidity, with urban-area minimums around 22°C—a couple degrees lower in New Territories spots—driving trader consensus toward 22°C (45%) over 21°C (39%). High cloud cover and steady winds will likely suppress nocturnal radiative cooling, favoring the higher outcome, though isolated rain patches or variable cloud thickness could enable a slight dip to 21°C if winds ease overnight. This reflects genuine uncertainty in short-range model outputs as a developing trough brings cooler easterlies; next HKO update at 11:30 HKT May 1 may refine probabilities ahead of resolution based on Observatory readings. Seasonal outlooks point to normal-to-above-normal May temperatures overall.
