Trader consensus on Polymarket prices the Parti Québécois (PQ) at 56% to secure the most seats in Quebec's 2026 general election, reflecting seat projections like 338Canada's forecast of PQ winning 64 seats despite the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) leading popular vote averages 35%-28%. This stems from PQ's efficient vote distribution in the 125 single-member districts under first-past-the-post rules, amplified by four consecutive by-election victories, including Chicoutimi in February. The Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) languishes at 12% post its April leadership shift to Premier Christine Fréchette replacing François Legault, enabling PQ leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon's path to plurality or majority by the October 5 deadline, though National Assembly debates could alter dynamics.
