Fuerza Popular (FP) commands near-certain trader consensus at 99.2% implied probability of winning the most seats in Peru's new 130-seat Chamber of Deputies, following official tallies from the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) after the April 12-13, 2026 general election that restored the bicameral Congress. With 89%+ of votes counted, FP secured 40 seats via proportional representation across 27 districts, outpacing Juntos por el Perú (JP) at 31 seats and Renovación Popular (RP) at 16, bolstered by Keiko Fujimori's strong presidential first-round performance heading to the June 7 runoff. Despite minor irregularities like delayed polling and investigations into ONPE officials, no credible congressional disputes threaten FP's plurality; final Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) certification remains the last formality, with legal challenges or recounts as remote upset scenarios.
