Official results from Peru's National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) after the April 12, 2026 general elections confirm Fuerza Popular (FP) capturing the plurality of seats in the newly reinstated 130-seat Chamber of Deputies under proportional representation, driving trader consensus to a 99.2% implied probability. With over 99% of actas processed by late April, FP's lead over Renovación Popular (RP) and others stems from strong district-level votes amid opposition fragmentation across multiple parties like Juntos por el Perú (JP) and Perú Libre (PL). FP's organizational edge and pre-election polling momentum solidified this position. Final certification by the National Jury of Elections (JNE) is pending, but reversals via recounts or legal challenges are improbable absent major fraud evidence, with presidential runoff set for June 7 unlikely to affect legislative outcomes.
