Anna De Gaio holds the strongest position entering the June 7-8 runoff for Castrovillari mayor after securing 43.59 percent in the May 24-25 first round with backing from a unified center-right coalition that included Forza Italia and Fratelli d'Italia lists. Ernesto Bello advanced in second place with 27.7 percent, supported by the Partito Democratico and allied center-left groups, while a third civic candidate captured 26.83 percent. Traders have priced De Gaio’s advantage at 72.5 percent, reflecting the initial margin and coalition cohesion typical in Italian local contests, though the runoff structure leaves room for shifts based on turnout and any late consolidation of eliminated voters behind Bello.
