Trader consensus heavily favors the PL to secure the most seats in Brazil's Chamber of Deputies on October 4, 2026, reflecting its post-janela partidária growth to over 100 federal deputies—the largest bancada—after netting 15 gains in early April. Party president Valdemar Costa Neto projects up to 115 deputies, surpassing the 2022 record amid strong right-wing momentum from Flávio Bolsonaro's tightening presidential polls against Lula. UPB, the new Federação União Progressista (União Brasil-PP), recently TSE-approved, trails at second with a solid but smaller bench, positioning it as the primary challenger in proportional representation seat contests across states. Upcoming candidate registrations and campaign financing deadlines could shift dynamics before election day.
