Stable high-pressure systems and light southerly winds are fostering radiative cooling under partly cloudy skies, consistent with recent model consensus from the Met Office and ECMWF ensembles showing no significant deviations. This matches climatological May norms for the region, where overnight lows typically hover 8–10°C amid dry conditions. Realistic challenges include unexpected persistent cloud cover trapping heat to push above 9°C, or clearer skies enhancing cooling to 8°C; final observations will resolve via verified airport data by early May 10.
