Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official observations from the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM) confirm Ankara's high temperature peaked at 21°C during midday hours on May 9, 2026, under persistent very cloudy skies and scattered showers from a low-pressure system over central Turkey. Current readings at 16:00 local time show 19.3°C with 48% humidity and light winds, aligning precisely with MGM hourly forecasts and ECMWF model runs that anticipated limited solar heating due to thick cloud cover capping surface temperatures. This trader consensus, implying 100% probability for 21°C, reflects verified station data amid typical May climatology (average highs near 22°C) moderated by today's synoptic moisture. Realistic challenges include a rare late-afternoon clearing for a brief 22°C spike before sunset around 19:30, though model consensus and dropping evening temps to 16°C make this improbable; final MGM daily report expected within hours.
