An exchange of words, handshake, direct conversation, or other clear personal interaction between the named individuals will qualify as a meeting. No further in-person meetings have materialized amid Lee's state visits to Singapore and India earlier in 2026, a March prime ministerial discussion with Trump on potential North Korea diplomacy, and Trump's current state visit to China for talks with Xi Jinping (May 13-15). Recent allegations of Lee's past North Korea ties have strained perceptions, but no scheduled summits or alliance events indicate an imminent encounter; traders watch for diplomatic announcements or regional escalations.
