Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer resigned on April 20 amid misconduct allegations, marking the third cabinet-level exit in six weeks—following Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's pressured departure in early March and Attorney General Pam Bondi's dismissal in early April. These resignations and firings underscore internal tensions, including reported friction with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, prompting bettors to anticipate further voluntary or forced exits among cabinet secretaries, senators, governors, or other qualifying positions before the deadline. No additional departures have been announced since April 20.
