This follows May 8's 30.3°C peak but May 9's cooler mid-20s maxima amid fresh easterlies from an anticyclone aloft, which suppress insolation and advection cooler air masses. High humidity (70-90%) further caps heating potential, though brief sun could nudge toward 28°C (14.5%); climatological May highs average near 28°C, but current synoptic patterns favor the 26-27°C cluster (82% combined). Next HKO update at 11:30 HKT May 10 may refine guidance ahead of resolution based on official observations.
