This market will resolve to “Yes” if any Federal or State jurisdiction of the United States formally charges or otherwise announces a criminal indictment of Eric Swalwell between market creation and May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. For the purposes of this market the District of Columbia and any county, municipality, or other subdivision of a State shall be included within the definition of a State. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from US governmental sources, however a wide consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Trader consensus prices "No" at 86.5% for Eric Swalwell facing charges by May 31, reflecting the early stage of recent investigations into sexual assault allegations from multiple women that surfaced in early April 2026. The DOJ and Manhattan District Attorney opened probes mid-month—one incident allegedly occurring in New York—prompting Swalwell to suspend his California gubernatorial campaign and face a House Ethics Committee review, though he denies all claims. Absent formal indictments to date, standard timelines for evidence collection, witness interviews, and grand jury proceedings make near-term charges improbable within the roughly six-week window, despite prior referrals like mortgage irregularities remaining unresolved without action.
