Venezuela's crude oil production averaged nearly 1 million barrels per day (bpd) in March 2026 per OPEC secondary sources, up from 823,000 bpd in January, propelled by U.S. Treasury license expansions allowing Chevron to boost output to 267,000 bpd and easing prior shut-ins. Exports surpassed 1 million bpd for the first time in six months, reflecting improved cash flow for PDVSA despite chronic infrastructure decay and political risks. EIA projects potential rises to 1.1-1.2 million bpd by mid-year amid global supply glut pressuring Brent yields near $70 per barrel. Key catalysts include May's OPEC Monthly Oil Market Report on April data, further sanctions adjustments, and Orinoco Belt investments through year-end.
