Trader sentiment for the next Half-Life game's developer remains anchored in Valve's enduring franchise ownership and secrecy, with recent leaks like the "hlx_physics_particle_spawner" in a CS2 beta update on April 1 and a Valve artist's now-deleted podcast mention of Half-Life 3 development on April 22 fueling speculation of an internal HLX project. Hideo Kojima's Valve office visit, interpreted by fans as teasing the number 3, added to the buzz, though all remain unverified rumors amid Valve's history of abrupt reveals like Half-Life: Alyx in 2020. No official announcements have emerged in the past 30 days, keeping markets volatile ahead of potential Steam Machine hardware events in mid-2026 that could host a reveal.

To qualify for a "Yes" resolution, the game must be explicitly acknowledged by Valve to be an installment of the Half-Life franchise or have the words "Half-Life" in the title. Updates to and expansion packs for already-released games will not be sufficient to resolve this market to "Yes". An announcement by Valve of a new qualifying game before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced game becomes available to the public.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from Valve or a consensus of credible sources.
