An agreement by Iran to surrender its enriched uranium stockpile as a precondition of a more comprehensive peace process or deal will qualify, even if the agreement is not finalized or part of a formalized peace deal. President Trump claimed mid-April that Iran agreed to surrender the material—termed "nuclear dust"—but Iranian officials and lawmakers immediately rejected this, insisting enriched uranium will not leave the country. Talks stalled after April 30 without a deal, though IAEA discussions with Russia on logistics continue. Upcoming diplomatic rounds and Trump's insistence on a 20-year enrichment moratorium heighten uncertainty for any timely resolution.
