Trever Nehls, identical twin brother of retiring Rep. Troy Nehls, secured the Republican nomination in a March 3 primary landslide for Texas' 22nd Congressional District, bolstering trader consensus on a Republican hold at 86.5%. The Cook Political Report rates the suburban Houston-area district Solid Republican, reflecting its partisan lean and historical voting patterns favoring GOP candidates by double digits. With no public polling available and the Democratic nominee—emerging from a fragmented primary featuring candidates like Marquette Greene-Scott—lacking comparable name recognition or resources, markets price minimal upset risk ahead of the November 3 general election. Absent late-breaking scandals or national midterm shifts, the race remains low-contention.
