Trader consensus favors Morgan Stanley at 50% implied probability as lead underwriter for SpaceX's blockbuster "Project Apex" IPO, driven by its longstanding ties to Elon Musk—including advising on Tesla's 2010 debut and banker Michael Grimes' return—bolstered by reports of leading final bake-off presentations at Starbase. Bank of America trails at 16%, reflecting its inclusion in January disclosures alongside Goldman Sachs (11%), JPMorgan, and Citigroup as senior roles in the syndicate of 21 banks tapped for the potential $75 billion raise at a $1.75 trillion valuation. Recent April 6 virtual meetings outlined a late-May prospectus and June 8 roadshow, amid jockeying between Morgan Stanley and Goldman for top billing, with no traditional "lead left" position expected; resolution hinges on final S-1 filings clarifying hierarchy.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or SpaceX completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of SpaceX’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from SpaceX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
