Trader sentiment on Polymarket's U.K. Annual Inflation 2026 market prices a 48% implied probability for 4.0–4.4% and 35.5% for 4.5%+, reflecting March 2026 CPI inflation's uptick to 3.3% year-over-year—driven by surging motor fuel prices amid global tensions—reversing prior declines from 3.4% in late 2025. Core CPI eased slightly to 3.1%, but persistent wage pressures and second-round effects have heightened Monetary Policy Committee concerns, prompting the Bank of England to hold Bank Rate at 3.75% on April 30. Economists' forecasts now see elevated inflation through 2026's second half, potentially averaging above 3.2%, with April CPI data due mid-May as the next key catalyst amid sticky services inflation.
