Trader consensus reflects a hyper-competitive field for the Miami Grand Prix fastest lap under 2026's active aero regulations and sustainable power units, which have compressed lap times across midfield packs on the low-downforce Miami International Autodrome layout—evident in pre-season testing where Piastri, Alonso, and rookies like Bortoleto flashed sub-second gaps. Oscar Piastri leads implied probabilities at 40% buoyed by his Australia GP win and strong long-run pace, while Fernando Alonso sits tight at 39% on Aston Martin's recent aero tweaks and his proven Miami overcut strategy. Emerging talents Gabriel Bortoleto and Franco Colapinto match 38.5% via standout early-season qualifier bursts, with the sprint weekend's lone practice session amplifying uncertainty around tire degradation, DRS effectiveness, and late-race fresh softs pushes.
