The Seattle Mariners enter the three-game interleague series at Nationals Park as AL West leaders with a 34-31 record, buoyed by a pitching staff posting a 3.43 ERA and solid recent form. Washington sits at 33-32 in third place in the NL East, showing competitive offense but a higher 4.72 ERA that has limited consistency. Key Mariners absences, including catcher Cal Raleigh on the injured list with an oblique strain and shortstop J.P. Crawford listed day-to-day, could influence lineup construction and offensive output. The Nationals have several pitchers on the IL, potentially impacting bullpen depth across the series. Recent standings and home-field factors shape the matchup dynamics heading into the June 12-14 contests.
