The Tampa Bay Rays enter the series finale against the Miami Marlins at loanDepot park holding the AL East lead at 37-24, bolstered by a recent 6-0 shutout win on June 5 where their pitching staff allowed just two hits. The Marlins sit at 30-35 with a respectable 19-16 home mark but have been hampered by multiple pitcher injuries including Janson Junk, Eury Pérez, and others on the IL. Chandler Simpson’s day-to-day thumb issue and Craig Kimbrel’s wrist strain further test the Rays’ depth. Recent head-to-head results show the Rays taking two of three in May, though Miami’s 4-3 victory on June 6 highlights their potential for competitive outings when the lineup connects.
