The St. Louis Cardinals, sitting at 32-28 and showing surprising NL Central competitiveness under new front-office leadership, carry recent momentum into their three-game road series against the New York Mets at Citi Field. The Mets, mired near the bottom of the NL East with a sub-.500 record, have dealt with inconsistent results and earlier-season struggles. Pitching matchups, bullpen reliability, and offensive production in a hitter-friendly park will shape outcomes, alongside factors like travel, rest, and lineup adjustments. Both clubs face tight playoff positioning implications, with the Cardinals leveraging strong recent form while the Mets seek to stabilize at home.
