The Senate Banking Committee advanced Kevin Warsh's nomination as Federal Reserve Chair on a 13-11 party-line vote April 29, overcoming prior hurdles after Sen. Thom Tillis ended his hold amid closure of a DOJ probe into Jerome Powell. Warsh, President Trump's pick announced in January and formally sent to the Senate in March, testified April 21 affirming Fed monetary policy independence amid scrutiny over potential political influence. With Powell's term expiring May 15, traders eye a full Senate confirmation vote—potentially aided by Sen. John Fetterman's indicated support—in a narrowly Republican-controlled chamber, as any delays could trigger an acting chair scenario.

If Kevin Warsh is formally nominated for the role, and his nomination is then formally withdrawn, or if the Senate rejects the nomination, this market will immediately resolve to “No”.
The Senate must confirm this nominee as Chair of the Federal Reserve for this market to resolve to "Yes". Recess appointments without Senate confirmation will not count toward a "Yes" resolution. Senate confirmation of Warsh as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors will not alone qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market is official information from the U.S. Senate; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
