Boisson, ranked No. 44, brings French clay-court pedigree—boasting strong recent clay stats like 26-7 in 2025—but returns from a seven-month layoff since September 2025 due to quadriceps niggles and a forearm injury, compounded by medical setbacks she detailed this week. No head-to-head exists, heightening focus on Boisson's rust versus her nine-match main-draw clay win streak against older opponents like the 24-year-old Stearns, amid Madrid's high-altitude clay dynamics.
