Carlos Alcaraz's withdrawal from the 2026 French Open due to a right wrist injury sustained at the Barcelona Open has obliterated any realistic path to a men's Calendar Grand Slam, despite his dominant Australian Open triumph over Novak Djokovic that completed his Career Grand Slam. With Roland Garros—the clay-court major—imminent and no other player holding the AO title, the physical demands of conquering all four Grand Slams (hard, clay, grass, hard) in one year remain prohibitively rare in the Open Era, last achieved by Rod Laver in 1969. Trader consensus at 99.5% for None reflects this insurmountable barrier, though an unprecedented injury recovery allowing Alcaraz to retrospectively claim FO or a tournament cancellation could theoretically shift odds.
