Cleveland holds a commanding 7-3 edge in their last 10 head-to-head matchups, bolstering trader confidence despite the Athletics' home-field edge in the hitter-friendly temporary venue. Recent Guardians bullpen depth took a hit with Shawn Armstrong's 15-day IL stint for a right groin strain on April 26, while Oakland's J.T. Ginn remains day-to-day with arm soreness; other injuries like Gabriel Arias' hamstring are longer-term. Probable pitchers for the opener are TBA, but Guardians' road form post-Rays series and mild West Sacramento weather could sway implied probabilities.
