Guardians enter with momentum from sweeping their early April matchup at Progressive Field (2-1 and 10-2 wins), boosted by strong outings from Joey Cantillo and Gavin Williams. Royals face roster challenges, including Jonathan India's season-ending shoulder surgery, day-to-day 1B Vinnie Pasquantino (back tightness), Maikel Garcia's recent elbow soreness, and multiple IL stints in rotation (Alec Marsh, Stephen Kolek) and bullpen (James McArthur, Carlos Estévez). Guardians' injury report lists SS Gabriel Arias (10-day IL) and relievers Shawn Armstrong, Andrew Walters (15-day IL), but core lineup intact; probable starters TBD. Home-field edge and weather could factor for Royals in potential low-scoring affair.
