Recent Flight 12 setbacks with Starship V3, including booster boostback failure and the need for an FAA mishap investigation, have reinforced trader consensus favoring "No" at 66% on full reusability before 2027. While Super Heavy boosters achieved multiple tower catches and one reuse milestone using the "chopsticks" arms, the upper stage continues facing hurdles with Raptor relights, controlled reentry, and heat shield performance during tests. These technical and regulatory delays, combined with historical patterns of iterative testing pushing timelines, outweigh optimistic 2026 targets from earlier statements, as rapid full-stack reuse requires demonstrated ship recovery and quick turnaround not yet shown in the 12 flights completed so far.
