Washington Nationals head to Cincinnati Reds for the series finale at hitter-friendly Great American Ball Park, where a marquee pitching matchup pits Nationals' Foster Griffin (4-1, 2.12 ERA) against Reds' Chase Burns (4-1, 2.11 ERA). Washington's offense exploded for a season-high six homers in yesterday's 10-4 rout of Cincinnati, with James Wood thriving against the Reds (.928 OPS career). Reds (22-20) hold a slight edge in NL Central standings over Nationals (20-22), but injuries sideline third baseman Eugenio Suárez (oblique) and key relievers Caleb Ferguson and Emilio Pagán, straining their bullpen. Momentum favors the visitors amid close records and rest advantages.
