The St. Louis Cardinals (37-30) hold a clear edge over the Minnesota Twins (32-39) entering their series at Target Field, driven by stronger overall play and a 7-3 mark in their last 10 games compared to Minnesota’s 4-6 stretch. The Cardinals sit second in the NL Central with solid road production, while the Twins linger third in the AL Central amid offensive inconsistencies and a sub-.500 record. Recent injury reports show limited major absences for either side, though Twins outfielder Byron Buxton and pitcher Garrett Acton remain sidelined. Probable starters such as Michael McGreevy for St. Louis and Taj Bradley for Minnesota shape early lineups, with bullpen depth and home-field factors at Target Field adding situational weight for traders assessing short-term outcomes.
