The St. Louis Cardinals enter the June 13 matchup at Target Field with a stronger 37-30 record and second-place standing in the NL Central, fueled by recent offensive momentum and a healthier rotation despite Ramón Urías moving to the 60-day IL with elbow issues. The Minnesota Twins sit at 32-39, hampered by pitching setbacks including Bailey Ober’s elbow injury sidelining him into July and additional bullpen limitations that have contributed to sub-.450 team play. Joe Ryan’s strong 3.07 ERA start for Minnesota faces Kyle Leahy’s 4.42 ERA for St. Louis in the interleague series, where home-field advantage at Target Field offers the Twins a counterbalance after their 9-8 win in game one. Trader consensus reflects the Cardinals’ superior form and NL Central positioning against Minnesota’s roster challenges.
