Both the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers enter their upcoming series with sub-.500 records in the AL Central, hampered by extensive pitching injuries that have thinned rotations and bullpens. The Twins have placed starters Bailey Ober and Mick Abel on the injured list with elbow issues alongside catcher Ryan Jeffers following hand surgery, while the Tigers continue to manage absences for Tarik Skubal, Justin Verlander, and Casey Mize amid elbow, hip, and groin concerns. Recent form shows both clubs struggling for consistency, with limited offensive production and reliance on available arms in a division where schedule density and home/away splits could influence outcomes.
