The Tampa Bay Rays enter the upcoming series against the Boston Red Sox with a strong 36-23 record atop the AL East, bolstered by solid home performance at Tropicana Field, while the Red Sox sit at 26-35 and trail by double digits in the division. Boston's rotation faces added pressure with starter Garrett Crochet recently diagnosed with a low-grade lat strain, limiting availability for key matchups. The Rays have dealt with their own roster adjustments, including placements on the injured list for reliever Craig Kimbrel and infielders Chandler Simpson and Taylor Walls, though they maintain depth in the bullpen. Recent series history shows competitive games, but the Red Sox's inconsistent form and road struggles contrast with Tampa Bay's overall edge in standings and pitching stability heading into the three-game set starting June 8.
