The Chicago Cubs enter the upcoming series against the San Francisco Giants with a stronger overall record and home-field advantage at Wrigley Field, where they have posted solid results in front of their fans. The Giants, meanwhile, sit near the bottom of the NL West standings and have struggled to string together consistent wins amid a challenging road schedule. Recent pitching matchups favor the Cubs in several games, with starters like Jameson Taillon providing stability compared to San Francisco's rotation options. Both clubs have dealt with typical early-season roster adjustments, but the Cubs' edge in run differential and divisional positioning gives them momentum heading into the six-game set that shifts to Oracle Park later in June. Weather and bullpen depth could influence late-inning outcomes across the series.
