Nick Kyrgios returns to ATP competition after a six-month absence since his last match in Brisbane, receiving a wildcard into the Stuttgart Open grass-court event and opening against eighth-seeded Corentin Moutet in the round of 32. Moutet, who has maintained consistent recent form and ranking proximity to the top 40, benefits from match readiness and familiarity with the surface. Kyrgios brings explosive serve and shot-making when healthy but faces questions around rust, physical conditioning, and grass-court adaptation following the extended layoff. Trader pricing reflects Moutet as the slight favorite due to these situational edges, though Kyrgios' historical grass success and power game keep the matchup competitive on any given day.
