Heide extended his nine-match winning streak—capped by a gritty 6-4, 1-6, 6-1 comeback over Denmark's August Holmgren—building on his Campinas Challenger title earlier this year. Diaz Acosta dominated American qualifier Ryan Seggerman 6-3, 6-0 to reach his third final of 2026, following victories in São Leo and Tigre, and holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge over Heide from their 2023 Montevideo Challenger clash. Both clay-court specialists from South America enter healthy, with no reported injuries, though Diaz Acosta's higher ranking and prior win tilt sentiment slightly his way amid a competitive matchup.
