The Minnesota Twins (13-18) host the Toronto Blue Jays (14-16) at Target Field for a key interleague series opener, pitting recently promoted lefty Patrick Corbin (0-0, 3.72 ERA) against Simeon Woods Richardson in a matchup favoring the home team's familiarity. Both clubs grapple with depleted rosters—Jays without catcher Alejandro Kirk (thumb, IL since April 4) and outfielder Nathan Lukes (hamstring), plus pitchers Jose Berrios and Max Scherzer on rehab; Twins missing arms like Mick Abel (elbow inflammation). Minnesota swept recent April meetings (8-2, 7-4 wins) and boasts Target Field edge, though both enter on cold streaks (Twins 2-8 L10), with mild weather (high ~55°F) unlikely to intervene.
