Seattle Mariners travel to Chicago for a mid-May AL matchup against the White Sox, with both teams hovering near .500—Mariners 16-19 in AL West after 6-4 last-10 form marred by a May 2 loss to Royals, White Sox similarly positioned in AL Central post recent Padres series. Key trader focus centers on injury-riddled rosters: Mariners without Brendan Donovan (groin, 10-day IL), day-to-day Cal Raleigh (side soreness), Matt Brash (lat, recent 15-day IL), and Victor Robles (pectoral); White Sox missing Everson Pereira (pectoral, 10-day IL), Tanner Murray (shoulder), and pitchers Jonathan Cannon, Chris Murphy (elbows). White Sox home advantage at Guaranteed Rate Field and recent Jarred Kelenic call-up (ex-Mariner) add intrigue, alongside Mariners' superior 2025 head-to-head sweeps; await probable pitchers, final injury reports, and weather for lineup impacts.
