Mariners momentum stems from a strong 5-1 road trip capped by a series win over the Twins, though injuries sideline INF Brendan Donovan (groin), 1B Patrick Wisdom (oblique), and OF Victor Robles (pectoral), plus reliever Matt Brash's recent side discomfort. White Sox boast a four-game win streak including a sweep of the Angels and an 8-2 victory over the Padres behind Masyn Murakami's hot bat, bolstered by Jarred Kelenic's recent call-up but hampered by absences like OF Everson Pereira and SP Jonathan Cannon. Probable pitchers remain TBD, setting up a closely contested matchup with home-field edge for Chicago.
