Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski (1-2, 3.31 ERA) holds a clear edge over Washington Nationals counterpart Jake Irvin (1-3, 4.85 ERA) in Friday's series opener at Nationals Park, where the Brewers' staff boasts a superior 3.83 team ERA amid the Nats' ongoing bullpen woes from injuries to relievers like Cole Henry and Clayton Beeter. Despite key absences for Milwaukee including Christian Yelich (10-day IL, oblique) and Jackson Chourio (10-day IL, hand), the Brewers enter at 16-14 with strong recent wins over Arizona, while the Nationals (15-17) ride a 4-1 stretch highlighted by CJ Abrams' timely homers but limp at 3-10 home. Earlier this season, Washington swept Milwaukee 3-0, setting up a revenge spot under mild 67°F conditions.
