The competitive balance stems from Vanhouter's youth, speed, and activity clashing with Murphy's heavyweight power, experience, and reach advantage, despite his age (40) and ring rust from inactivity since mid-2023. Full card confirmation last week at Meta APEX intensified focus on this pivotal prelim step-up; weigh-in results or late injury reports could sway sentiment ahead of the May 10 clash.
