Both advanced steadily through recent WTT Contenders without reported injuries or withdrawals, with Díaz's aggressive forehand rallies offsetting Cheng's defensive consistency in prior encounters. No head-to-head shifts or fatigue from the ongoing World Team Championships have emerged in the last 48 hours to disrupt equilibrium; late lineup confirmations or minor tweaks in spin-heavy playstyles could sway odds toward either in this high-stakes, evenly contested affair.
