Trader consensus reflects an extraordinarily tight La Liga relegation scrap after matchday 33, with nine teams—Athletic Bilbao (41 points, 10th) through Levante (33 points, 19th)—separated by just eight points, leaving the 17th-place survivor spot wide open amid slim goal-difference margins and pending head-to-heads. Recent results kept the pack bunched: Levante edged Getafe 1-0, Real Oviedo stunned Celta 3-0, Mallorca overcame Rayo Vallecano, and Sevilla stumbled 2-1 at Osasuna, while Elche and Alavés grabbed key points against Valencia and Real Sociedad, respectively. With five matchdays remaining, including multiple six-pointers like Valencia at Mallorca, rest advantages, home form splits, and tactical contrasts—possession-heavy Elche versus direct Levante—amplify upset potential, anchoring top probabilities like Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad, Mallorca, and Levante in the 48-49.5% range.
